Janice Maxine Lehl age 83 of Lincoln died on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in Lancaster, California. Janice was visiting family in California when she suffered a stroke in July.



Janice was born on January 18, 1933 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Roy Elbert and Marie Edith (Cross) Safley. She was from a large family of 10 siblings.



Janice married Elton (Doc) Eugene Lehl on August 30, 1952. She was a hard working mother that raised two boys and also worked at various jobs. She retired from Lincoln Snack Company (previously Ovaltine). After retirement...

Janice Maxine Lehl age 83 of Lincoln died on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in Lancaster, California. Janice was visiting family in California when she suffered a stroke in July.



Janice was born on January 18, 1933 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Roy Elbert and Marie Edith (Cross) Safley. She was from a large family of 10 siblings.



Janice married Elton (Doc) Eugene Lehl on August 30, 1952. She was a hard working mother that raised two boys and also worked at various jobs. She retired from Lincoln Snack Company (previously Ovaltine). After retirement she and Doc enjoyed traveling, camping, going on Casino bus tours and visiting family and friends. She continued to enjoy family visits, bingo, casino trips, shopping and her time spent with new friends at the Aging Partners Senior Center.



She is survived by her sons, Kirk E. and Kimberly A. Lehl of Lincoln; Douglas D. Lehl of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sisters Doris Lowe, Deloris Lowe, Shirley Irwin and Sharon Mackenzie. She was preceded in death by her husband Elton in 2008, sisters, Beverly, Marjorie, Marilyn; brothers, James and Robert.



There will be no visitation.



The funeral service will be rescheduled. The service time will be updated when confirmed.



Interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.
