Condolence & Memory Journal

Marj and family,

I was deeply saddened to learn of George's passing. I have many cherished memories of our time in Lincoln, and our many friends at UNL and Northeast community church. We were two newlyweds just starting our life together in a new state half way across the country from our families in Pennsylvania. You and George went out of your way to befriend us and make us feel at home in our new environment. I remember George as a gentle man with a quiet sense of humor, and how you both found time for friends and social concerns in the midst of otherwise busy lives and the demands of career and family. I remember thinking that I hoped that our marriage would work out as well as yours obviously had. I'd also be remiss if I didn't mention how grateful I remain for the support shown by you both, and our other friends at Northeast Church, even after we moved away, during our trials with Barb's, terminal illness. I pray that you may be supported and comforted in this time as you both have so generously done for others through the years. May God bless you all.

Manglitz family ~

We are truly sorry for your loss. George was a wonderful Grandfather, and we remember him taking Joseph to the football games, helping him make a bug collection, and spending so much quality time with him!! Praying for all of you at this time. We hope you are all able to laugh with great memories through your tears of sadness.
